We are honoured to invite Sheela Shankar back to our shala, with the support of Nadine Watton, for a weekend of Vedic Chanting and philosophy.

Individual Saturday or Sunday only at £75 per day and are limited as we give priority to those that can attend the full weekend first.

Zoom links will be set out at least 1 hour before the session and high quality microphone and tech set up for each session.
No recordings of the workshop, but Sheela will provide recordings of the chants and exercises to continue your practices.

Sheela Shankar
Sheela Shankar is a student of T.K.V. Desikachar.
She has undergone the 2-year teacher training Diploma in Yoga at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai and was working in the editing and production of the journal Darsanam. She was one of TKV Desikachar’s foremost teachers of Vedic Chanting and is also a trained classical singer in both the Carnatic and the Hindustani tradition.
Over the years, Sheela has continued to practice and teach Vedic Chanting and bhajans to several individuals and groups from different parts of the world.
She was the keynote speaker at the Association of Yoga Studies Convention, UK in 2019 with Ravi Shankar.
In association with Sadhanamala, UK, she runs a Vedic Chanting Certificate course to train teachers in Vedic Chanting. This has been ongoing since 2018. Ravi and Sheela are the co-founders of YogaNidhi, a centre for Yoga and Vedic Chanting in Chennai, India.
